Happy Veteran's Day!

On behalf of Sigma Chi and the Alpha Chapter, we would like to say thank you to all of our brothers who have served in the military in the past, and those who are currently serving today. Joining the armed forces comes at an immense personal sacrifice, and we thank all the people who have laid down their lives to defend their country. Unfortunately, there have been over 700 Sigs who have been killed in action, 10 of those being Alpha Chapter members. We would like to thank Capt. William Lewis Lockwood (1858), Capt. Cyrus Ewing Dickey (1858), W. Scott Parker (1861), Kent S. Ritchie (1914), Lt. Charles K. Kingsley (1941), Capt. Fred W. Edwards (1942), Pfc. William E. Brooks (1944), Lt. Fredrick H. Skeels (1944), Lt. Kenneth D. Smith (1946), and Lt. John "Jack" R. Ruggles (1966) for entering the Chapter Eternal in the most noble of ways.

We are forever indebted to the men who have sacrificed their lives for our country, and it is important to take days like today as an appreciation of their lives. The Land of the Free because of the Brave!
